Moving and Relocating RSS FeedsTravel Locations with the most friendly people - I always enjoy going to locations and the first thing you see as you exit the plane is smiling faces as you join the immigration line, and a warm reception from the locals as you leave the airport. Of course, that is just a start, but what I really want to know from the members is where are some of the places you've been that have such friendly people?....Feed Source: www.aardvarktravel.net Beware of the killer lettuce - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iky-AlhjyB8.... Hi from Wellington, New Zealand - Hi to u all,

All my holidays are by my lonesome, some have been really good, and some have been lonely as hell .... Transport - Hey everyone,
I am planning a trip around eastern Europe with a friend of mine in November, we're both newbies at the whole travel thing, well to this extent anyway. We're currently looking at getting a months rail pass and we were just wondering what the supplements for this part of the world would be for sleepers and couchettes typically?
We've got a rough route of where we wish to go planned out something like Krakw-Budapest-Bratislava-Vienna-Munich-Ljubljana-Zagreb-Belgrade-Bucharest-Sofia
Does anyone think any of these journeys are likely to be problematic in any way?
Also is travel insurance recommended?
Thanks for your time
Ps, prices in would be useful..... The Oasis of my Soul... A Lifelong Journey... - Hard to believe that one week and more has already gone by in this New Year time is starting to speed up as I look at maps, there is no plans or directions, the weather will be my guide mostly as I have to move on to warmer climates, mainly for Spirit. With even two coats on, the poor guy is cold, he does not want to go out and I am not feeling comfortable with his lethargic days we both need our exercise him as much as me!
We did not ride yesterday spend it mostly at Jerrys and Naldas Bookstore it amazes me for a town this small how many interesting people there are so many conversations!
There are always pictures from the past that do not make it on the Blog with Cagiva 549's permission I have posted some of the recent past ones

Thanks in advance..... Morgat, Brittany (with a few pics) - Hi all
I just got back from Morgat, a lovely little seaside resort on the peninsula just south of Brest. Very safe and relatively quiet main beach, with plenty of other quieter beaches (not that the main beach got that busy anyway) dotted around. Great for a family holiday, and more French than some of the usual Brittany haunts. Here's a handful of pictures for you to enjoy

I want to go to Spain next year and currently am planning to go to Marid again. Are there scams similar to the Barcelona scams or is it as I found it relatively safe if being proactive and vigilant?
Also, are there scams in the countryside dissimilar to the city ones?.... Going to Spain...? Watch out - I think we got caught out by this once on our recent trip. Thought it might be useful to others here.
From The Guardian:
Millions of British holidaymakers heading to Spain this summer will be mugged at the cash machine - by the banks, not robbers. Spanish banks are introducing confusing new messages on ATMs which will direct users into pressing "yes" for something called dynamic currency conversion, known as DCC, that will nearly always leave them out of pocket. Many tourists paying by debit or credit card will already be familiar with shop assistants in Spain asking if you would you like to pay in sterling. It sounds attractive, but Nationwide building society estimates it costs unsuspecting Brits about 5m a month. The exchange rate used is poor and the conversion fee high, with profits funnelled back to the retailer. Now, after a pilot project by banking group Santander (which owns Abbey), DCC is coming to Spanish ATMs, and the losers will be anybody who thinks they have to press ... recomend a european city. please! - I was wondering if anyone could please recomend me a place to visit during the week of march.
